Teachers are such a crucial part of our lives. We learn throughout our lives many things that help shape us into who we become. It is our teachers who help us get there. Our teachers are our best support. Teachers come in many different shapes and sizes and occupations. Some are mothers, fathers, friends, acquaintances and some actually hold the title of teacher. Why then, in a world where teachers are so needed do we find ourselves in a teacher shortage? What is scaring them off? What can we do to help people want to be teachers so that our future children will be able to have the same educational opportunities as we once had? What can be done to encourage people to teach and at the same time improve teachers’ quality?
