RA- Riders new ultra fit Lee Jeans

The ad targets middle aged woman/moms who want to look good and may have a little bit of a stomach. (In Nov. 2007 Better Homes and Gardens).

The article is trying to persuade women to buy their jeans.

The ethos or credibility lies in the brand name. Most people know the brand name and know their jeans to be reliable.

The article appeals the emotions of women of being self-conscious. It lets you know that these jeans will instantly slim you and that there is a new panel that is to help with tummy control. The two women modeling the jeans let you know how happy you can be in these jeans and how confident they will make you feel.

The logos: it shows you that logically the jeans come up high enough to help with tummy problems.

The effectiveness of it... I think it is very persuasive. However, I know that I have problems finding jeans that fit me right, and I'm assuming that most women who would be interested in jeans like these would also be a little reserved. They interest would probably be piqued but they wouldn't fully believe it until they had gone to a store and tried on a pair. But it should at least get them into a store which is definitely a plus.
